Snowy Day 1-20-09

Snowy Day 1-20-09
Yate's Mill

And, I'm still STANDING!!!

If a person ONLY gets their information from the mainstream media and never looks beyond what is presented, their thoughts of what is going on are very jaded.

I've been voting since 1980 and I've never agreed 100% with any elected official. Even my favorite president, Ronald Reagan, had his moments. I've been married for almost 25 years and I don't 100% agree with my husband, either. So I am not focusing on finding a politician that I 100% agree with because I know better.

I did support Bush, both times! I'm not ashamed or apologetic about that. My goodness, the man stood up before a nation and prayed to the Creator of the Universe on behalf of the people he represented. He wasn't ashamed, or didn't feel his countrymen too diverse to put forth his true, heartfelt beliefs.

And yes, I supported John McCain because as the choices were presented I knew I couldn't support Obama. Obama stands for a vast majority of things I stand against. I am not ashamed or apologetic of that either. I am an American, that is my right but more importantly, my resonsibility!

I can't vote for a man who in 2007 gave a speech to Planned Parenthood telling how he would support abortion for all females; then in 2008 told the nation at the Saddleback forum that identifying the beginning of life was above his pay grade; and then a few days after the inauguration with a stroke of his pen he suddenly feels conception is NOT above his pay grade anymore. He either can't remember what he stands for or is flat out lying. Either way, I'm not a supporter of an alzheimer's victim or a liar for president.

We really knew where he stood no matter what he said because his record in the Illinios senate bore that out. The man voted at least 4 times to promote abortion at all costs. He voted to strip the rights of American citizens who survived an abortion gone wrong (right?). He told you and me the wording wasn't right. Yet, if you look at what really happened you see he insisted certain wording be added so it would align with what was past at the federal level. Once that wording was included he still voted against it. Now I say, "Liar, liar pants on fire!" I'm okay with being a little juvenile too! I'm an old lady and every chance I get I try to take it!

I'm not inclined to support a man who in less than 3 months has racked up a larger deficit that any previous administration in all of their years combined. But yet, every time he goes to talk about why he's doing what he's doing he blames the previous administration for the mess they left him. And acts like that's all he should have to say.

If we can pull our thoughts back to the memory station and remember what the previous administration had been doing those past 8 years we will recall that the last 2 years no one got anything productive done because congress refused to promote anything that was good for this country for no other reason than partisianship. Then the 2 years before that there was enough of a majority in the house and senate that many things Bush tried to get done for the betterment of the American citizens was filibustered--through yet more partisianship. So Obama's excuse is nothing more than passing the buck and it's very unbecoming a man or woman in his position.

Not to mention--I've been paying bills for our household for a long time. We've been in financial trouble before--you can't spend your way out of financial issues! It doesn't work--It has never worked and will never work, not on the personal level and certainly not on the national level. For the man to get up and say ONLY the federal government can get us out of this mess simply shows his ignorance. He can't remember, or has never understood, who the federal government is, or who they are employed by.

We the people have to pay every bill they commit themselves to. Essentially they are commiting us to those bills. We are trying to grab the checkbook and say, "Oh no you don't! We don't have the money for that and it is NOT in our best interest to obligate ourselves to that." The man can say oh yeah we will spend, spend, spend and then we will have money to pay, pay, pay but does he understand the spending and the paying are coming out of the same wallet?

I can't support a man who voluntarily sat and listened to a man get up and preach the damning of America; and his wife, who said she was never proud of her country before her husband ran for the greatest office in the land. (I guess she wasn't proud of anything going on in Illinois either). And now, in that same vein we have your representative and mine globe trotting with the message that he doesn't like the American people either. He apparently hasn't been proud of his country either. He thinks we have been arrogant, derisive and divisive all of these years. And right near the shores of Normandy. You young people need to pull out those old dusty history books, you might not get the true info from the internet--it's being changed to fit what they want to suit the next generation of tickled ears. You might want to sit down and talk to that grandfather or great uncle. Let them tell you what America was all about. Let them tell you how hurt and betrayed they are to hear someone from their own country say they are arrogant.

And, now his own administration has turned us against ourselves. He issued a proclamation that people who don't like BIG government; those who believe abortion is wrong; those who are returning from foreign lands they went to, to protect; those who think illegal immigration ought to be "illegal"; just might be right-wing extremists and involved in terror activities. They won't call internatiional terrorists, terrorist but they don't have a problem calling their own people terrorists. I'm quite upset and mighty angry at such a screwed up administration.

And some want to still claim to not understand why American's would be upset now and not before. I'll tell you--before we were being attacked from without and our within was being protected. Now our without and our within is being attacked by the very people someone(?) voted in to protect our without and our within.

Let Us Weep

After spending several days weeping for those ten of thousands, maybe millions of souls who, through no fault of their own, are headed for the garbage can because Barack Hussein Obama lied, cheated and stole the presidency; I decided to write this poem. It may not even be a correct representation of a poem. I am not a scholar on poetry (but I did try to make it rhyme). And, I'm not sure I am finished with it. However, I am going to go ahead and publish it now and add more later if I need to. If you have suggestions or verses, let me know. I pray it might be used to thwart at least one abortion.

Let us weep

Let us weep,
for the hand that will never hold a flower;
and for those hands who will never build a tower.

Let us weep,
for the fragrance of the child;
that sweet, sweet smell, oh, so mild.

Let us weep,
for the lips so very sweet;
that will never taste a single treat.

Let us weep,
for the sounds that have been refused;
sounds of music that could have been transfused.

Let us weep,
for the hearts that will surely break;
as a heartbeat we take.

Oh, Let us weep,
for the sights, the beauty to behold;
darkened by choices to be left in the cold.

Let us weep, for 50+ million people who have been denied their rights as citizens of the United States of America. They have instead been sacrificed to the god of choice. The governmental policies of this country cannot be held solely responsible for this atrocity. We the people have a responsibility to overcome the need for abortion procedures. We also have a responsibility to educate ALL who may be considering an abortion the facts regarding what exactly takes place. We also need to focus on the fact that whether the world wants to think of this thing as a glob of tissues or not, doesn't change the potential going on inside that human incubator. We wouldn't pull the plug on an incubator in a hospital if the patient were improving (that is illegal). We wouldn't pull the plug on any life support system. As individual citizens we have a responsibility to continue life support procedures if started until professionals arrive. I believe this is even a law. Yet, we consider it okay to discontinue life support as a sacrifice to the god of choice.

My personal message to president-elect Obama. I hope you will teach your daughters to NOT make a "mistake" in regards to their sexual activity. The "sin" of sexual activity outside of the confines of marriage needs to be avoided. However, "sins" happen. And if one or both of your daughters were to find themselves in that situation I hope you (at that point) would have experienced the divine joy of children enough to know that no human being could ever (no matter the circumstances) be considered a punishment. Your daughters are young and you might not have had a chance yet to discover the eternal significance of every human being. Everything on this planet will one day be annihilated, but the soul, that you might consider a punishment, has an eternal future. I hope the faith that you seem to attend to has not also jaded this truth out of God's word.

Well, this is eye opening isn't it?

This is a video catholicvote.com has produced. It tells it like it is. It is our responsibility. Each of us has been put in place for such a time as this. Are you going to stand before the Lord without the innocent blood of an unborn baby on your hands?

Read Ezekiel 3 and 33.

I will let this one stand on it's very own merits.

Please view this video. It tells the truth about Obama's verifiable record. This isn't the rhetoric he says, it is the facts he does. We can't let this continue to destroy our country!

Over the next few days I plan to post as many of the videos as I can showing Barack Obama telling the American people exactly what he stands for. It is up to you as to whether you hear or not. This election is paramont. We cannot let this one guy ruin America! Remember Madeline Murray O'Hare? They said it couldn't happen and it did. I am telling you it can happen and we only have few more days for people to recognize the peril we are in.

Well, Now that We have Lemons

Well, now that the American people have bought a very LARGE box of lemons, let's get busy making lemonade.

I understand we are now in the banking business and I was thinking about how best to handle the $700 Billion package the administration and congress passed.

The American people are looking at this staggering figure and wondering what do you do with that kind of money? I thought I might make a few suggestions. I am not an economist and certainly do not claim to be an expert on finances. However, it is getting to be near Christmas, children every where are thinking about their wish lists, and so here is mine on how to turn lemons into lemonade.

First, since I am now in the banking business I would like to make some changes I think are in the best interest of the American people and I can't see a major downside to banks, either.

1st--Let's firmly take those lemons in our hands and squeeze.

How about an interest rate reduction for every single primary home loan in existence? I did say this was a wish list, right? How about a 25% reduction of every interest rate? If you have a 6% rate right now, the remainder of the loan could be at 4.5%. A current 8% rate would reduce to 6%. We have made all of these loans to people we knew would very likely not be able to pay them back so instead of sitting back and knowingly letting them fail, let's cut them a break, try to help them help us to get out of this mess!

Let's say you took out a loan for $150,000.00 for your primary residence. You put 10% down and got a 30 year fixed rate at 6%. Your payment should be approximately $719 a month. Now let's say you haven't been in the house very long and you still have a remaining balance of $135,000.00. But let's say, since we are now the bankers, we reduce that interest rate to 4.5% instead of the 6%. Your payment would now be approximately $684 a month. That's a difference of $35.00 a month. "Oh, that's not very much," you might say. But let's look at what the average American can do with $35 a month. They could buy 2 pairs of shoes for the kids. They could buy a couple of pairs of pants. Maybe buy fresh fruit for the first time in several months. It could be used to pay an extra amount on those credit cards (an even larger reduction in interest charges). Or, what about putting it in an savings account (I think the juice might just start flowing). Over the course of the year $35 a month turns into $420 a year. Over a ten year period it turns into $4,200. And I would need an amortization schedule to figure out what the savings would be throughout the course of the loan in quicker pay down of the principal. But anyway, it would be a great way to use our new banking opportunity to start making our lemonade.

2nd--Since we are in the banking business and we are trying to make lemonade out of the lemons we have been handed, and this is a wish list, how about we squeeze a little harder to make sure we get every ounce of juice.

Let's increase the interest rate the bank pays us for the use of our money! My present basic, straight savings account pays almost nothing, maybe a 2% APR. Let's increase that 25%. That makes the 2%, 2.5%. And let's say we have an IRA yielding 4%. A 25% increase would make it 5%. So an across the board rate increase for savings products! Yep, that will help us make lemonade, for sure!

Now, let's add some sugar to make sure that lemonade is VERY yummy!

How about, since we are in the banking business, we reduce those treacherous banking fees? How about abolishing that fee for taking money out of our overdraft account? It shouldn't cost $10-$25 to take our own money and move it around to make sure we cover the checks that will come in. At the least, it could be reduced to $2 or $5. Then let's talk about that $25-$35 fee for actually over drafting. Let's just cut that thing down to $15 or $20 at the max. Then, let's look at the bank charging us money to give them our money. Forget that! Free checking across the board no matter what type of balance you keep. If you want to reward those who keep a large balance, give them free checks or how about interest on their checking accounts? That might be too much trouble, but you can certainly reward them with a lollipop or something!

And finally, lemonade is really not all that great unless you include some ice cubes. It's got to be cold! So let's do some freezing. As bankers we can freeze the policy of making any additional loans to those who are really not qualified to get a loan. Those who don't have the qualifications could be linked to other investors who are more willing to make risky loans--NOT banks--at least not the banks using taxpayer money to stay afloat! Investors! Banks cannot continue to be expected to put their own businesses (and the taxpayer's money) in peril because of pressure from community organization groups and/or the government.

So there you have it! Camille's recipe for Banking Lemonade!

I think my thoughts were on target. This has Obama's bloody hands all over it. He is bad news people! PLEASE see that before it is too late.

Also, if you get a chance get Dr. David Jeremiah's latest book, "What in the World is Going On?"

I'm only a couple of chapters into it but it is like reading the daily news. Islam IS the enemy and WE HAVE to recognize that before it is too late!

See the Coffee and Smell The Truth!

http://www.foxnews.com/video2/video08.html?maven_referralObject=3137042&maven_referralPlaylistId=&sRevUrl=http://www.foxnews.com/hannityandcolmes/index.html

I couldn't get the video to embed in this blog, but the above link will take you to the video. Please take the time view it!

I've been saying it over and over. It's there, the evidence. People just must be willing to see the coffee and smell the truth! We are getting sold down the river. And while the black person might make a case that we deserve to be, it is the responsibility of every red-blooded American (African-American's included) to see the truth. Only the truth will keep us free. Obama is not for America's freedom. His history has spoken over and over again to the fact he is for freeing Obama and only those he deems worthy.

The economic mess has his hands all over it and yet the media refuses to state the obvious. His economic proposals and health care proposals in and of themselves will suck the lifeblood right out of this country! There is no way you can do the things he has proposed without the government digging deeper and deeper into your pockets.
He wants to take all of your money and then give it back to you at the government's discretion. And the above video shows you where he wants your money to go.

We need to stand up and take notice here! It's a bad deal!

We Need To Fail!

I am more and more convinced every day that we simply need to fail! Yes, I said fail!

I believe in my heart of hearts that this is nothing more than Congress's secret weapon to throw this election. Remember, the October surprise? They were just forced to play their hand early.

First, every economists I read says only about 2% of homes are actually in foreclosure and that if we actually did nothing it probably would not lead to a major recession. We are being told the banks need more money to lend. That progress can't be had unless banks have more money to lend.

Yet, the reason banks don't "have enough money" is because the federal government has mandated that banks HAVE to lend a certain amount of subprime money. They have money to lend but because a certain amount of what they lend has to be to subprime borrowers and they are seeing more and more subprime mortgages go south they are bucking the system and demanding some relief from the rules they have been required to uphold. Or else, someone is nudging them.

If banks were freed from being required to lend to subprime borrowers, they would have the freedom to lend to those whom they know will repay and then the government wouldn't have to be involved at all, and that is as it should be!

The average American is sitting around saying, "What in the world is going on here?" Tens of thousands are calling their representatives demanding they refuse to saddle us with this debt and yet...there they go. The average American is saying, "Hey wait a cotton-pickin' minute!" They are still counting fingers and toes wondering what stupid policy would force banks to buy debt they know is very unlikely to get repaid anyway?

Greed, greed is this driving force.

Well, let's think this through a minute. If you lend to someone who has a good credit rating and you are fairly certain they will repay, you lend at 5%. That means you get a 5% return on your money. But now, let's consider the other side of the coin. If you lend to someone who is risky, who may or may not actually repay their loan, you are totally justified in lending at a 9% rate. That means you could get a 9% rate of return. which would you prefer? You can almost double your money. Look at the possibilities! Can you see the dollar signs going cha-ching? The banks (and the federal government at the hands of the Democrats) say well, we can have a certain amount of that because our actual investment is paid back in record time ($100,000 repaid at 9% gets back to the bank quicker than $100,000 at 5%) and if they pay well for the first few years we can usually recoup what we have in it and if they fail we can get the total of our investment back in collateral plus the payments that were made. And in a normal market, that's a win, win, win, go to Vegas, situation.

However, if the market has a dip, no matter how large or small, it causes grave forecasts and, keep you up at night, jitters! And I think that's what's going on.

There has been so much of the subprime activity it has flooded the market which itself has caused a great deal of failures because the competition has been removed. If someone can't pay the mortgage on this loan, then they dump the loan and run across the street and get another one. There is an excess of collateral on the market because it is so easy. And when the competition for the collateral has been removed the value of the collateral is also removed. Thus banks own foreclosed property that is not worth the loan they wrote for it. And why? Because our government insisted they make those loans. And are continuing to insist they make those loans. And, even after they infuse $700 Billion of American taxpayer money into the banking business they will continue to insist they make these subprime loans.

Alas, the October surprise in September:

And Congress, being Congress, has been searching and searching for just such a "emergency" to get the American focus off what we ALL ought to be focused on right now. They know their candidate can't possibly win on the issues alone. They know the American people were getting closer and closer to exposing just how anti-American their candidate is. They know they don't have a leg to stand on so their greatest hope is to divert attention away from the campaign for as long as possible.

If people are thinking of something else then that gives them less time to focus on what is really important. Congress's only challenge is to keep the attention for as long as possible. Mark my words, whatever happens will be finished as close to the election as possible, and not a moment sooner.

The bailout has failed twice and yet we are paying these people to keep the lights on so they can discuss it more and more and more. They are promising, someone (???), they will give them money soon. They are dropping all of the other issues we are paying them to focus on and instead keeping the press conferences coming. Everyday is a new reason they have to have the people's attention.

I find it just amazing that this is something our government has EVER encouraged. This philosophy that everyone deserves to have everything just because they made it out of the womb without being murdered along the way is ridiculous! Where is the hard work ethic that built this country? Where is the suffer the consequences if you mess up philosophy? Where is the take responsibility for one's own actions? The whole Democrat philosophy of, "Let the government get it for you" is so backwards from everything this country was built on!

It is NOT the government's responsibility to make sure you have a loan for a home. Your own hard work and fiscal responsibility is what should get you a loan.

It is NOT the government's responsibility to make sure you have food on your table. Your own hard work and determination should be the catalyst for putting food on your table.

It is NOT the government's responsibility to make sure you have health care handed to you.
Your healthy body is your responsibility. Making sure you are capable of seeking medical treatment as needed is your responsibility. If the government wants to do something strip the insurance companies of their rights to determine what is medically needed and not medically needed.

It is NOT the government's responsibility to fix all of our problems. This land did NOT become the great land that it is by it's people handing over every aspect of their lives for the government to fix aka control.

The more we let government in, the less freedom we have. The government cannot fix our problems and let us be in charge at the same time.

As a matter of fact, if the government would get out of our pocketbooks we would be so much more capable of addressing each of our needs and bringing them to pass. If the government wanting to help the economy they could give the people the $700 Billion so they could actually pay their bills. It just doesn't make sense to take MORE money from people who are already struggling to pay their bills. Wouldn't it benefit everybody if that money was given to the people or given to the mortgage companies to catch up people's loans, rather than given to banks to make them more liquid so they can make more bad loans?

I don't understand how people, who claim to love this country, can honestly believe sticking government's nose in private business is such a great thing.

This issue wasn't even on the radar screen until the Republicans began to pull ahead in the polls. So Congress's secret weapon emerged full force with, of all people, President Bush leading the way. Someone pulled his chain full force and there he is.

It's Congress's perfect scenario. We make the standing president look bad, we make this issue twist-in-the-wind to remove the focus from the election, eventually we pass something that gives government a mega amount of power over private industry, and when the next guy gets in we either use it for him or against him, depending on which one we can sway the people to. This so smacks of Hillary Clinton's hand prints!

I'm quite sickened by this whole mess. This congress has the lowest approval rating of any congress in the history of this country. They have sat on their hands and thrown the American people to the dogs in their efforts to continue to make the present administration look bad. And now, they are going to strap a $700 billion debt on our backs to help keep a totally flawed policy that the Democratic party created in the first place afloat. All so that, in another 4-5 years they can do it again.

Americans have every right to stand up and pitch an ever lovin' fit! American's should be calling and emailing their representatives and demanding that not only we not be strapped with this ridiculous $700 Billion bill but also that government get their greedy noses OUT of the banking industry. It is NOT government's place to demand high risk borrower's be granted loans they can't afford and then expect the American people to all pitch in! That is redistribution of wealth or more pointedly, redistricution of hard work. It is socialism at the least and will lead to communism.

We need to fail. We need to fail to get our heads screwed back on right!

Eduardo Verástegui speaks on Obama

Just wanted to post this. This is the guy that made the film "Bella". He makes a plea to the hispanic community to vote against Obama because of the abortion issue. I don't agree with everything he said about wanting to eliminate the hispanics but the abortion issue is my hot button. If we have the audacity to kill our young and old, we are a doomed nation and it just must be stopped!

Watermelons and Pumpkins Collide

I drove by a little local fruit stand yesterday and the thought occurred to me how much I really like this time of year. My favorite time of year is Christmas, there's no denying that! But this is probably my second favorite time of year.

There's something to be said for structure. I love summer and the unstructured freedom it affords in my life but once August comes and I know a much more structured routine is on the way, it is comforting! I really look forward to it.

At this time most every school in the country has started. The routine has begun. Most are not quite settled in the routine but are well on our way to making the adjustment. The days are still warm but the nights are getting a little cooler, (I know those in Florida haven't had that yet. Their air conditioners are still running full blast as they have since March). But the rest of us are watching for the little subtle changes and know they aren't far.

As I passed this fruit stand I saw a large wooden wheel barrow out front full of watermelons. And beyond that up on a shelf was a line of pumpkins. It occurred to me that, that was an odd sight. We don't really associate watermelons and pumpkins coming together at the same time. But there they were, right there at the same fruit stand, on the same day.

I was thinking about watermelons and how nice they are. How refreshing they are on a hot summer day. I realized their time was fleeting. That is probably the last wheelbarrow full of watermelons we will see until next summer. It caused me to remember the last watermelon I ate. I was in Pennsylvania at my aunt's house. We had, had a fabulous 50th wedding anniversary and a family reunion and it was the last few minutes I would have with them and my parent's before we departed for home. It was great and just the way I like it--civilized.

I like my watermelon civilized. As a child we were given a slice of watermelon with the rind attached (as a handle) and told to go outside. Of course, all of the guys would want to have spitting contests. I'm not sure if they even liked watermelon or just the chance to spit! The juice would drip down your chin to your clothes and eventually wind up on your feet (because of course, we were barefooted-that's how we were in Florida). I just about quit eating watermelon because it just was not a civilized activity! That is until I became a little older and realized I could cut the "meat" off the rind and place it on a plate. Then remove the seeds, cut the "meat", add a little salt and enjoy. I didn't have to mess up my clothes or have a footwashin' when I was through! So I very much prefer my watermelon, civilized!

At the recent consumption of the watermelon at my aunt's house the guys were still guys. They sat outside spitting seeds while I was very content to sit in the air conditioning and eat mine with a FORK!

As I passed by that fruit stand I thought about pumpkins. As the watermelons disappear and pumpkins show up in all shapes and sizes it turns our thoughts to harvest time. The scarecrows in the fields let us know the farmer's have worked to protect their crops and the pumpkins on the shelves, the corn sitting beside them, the beans in the bin, etc. let us know it has worked.

But before we give too much credit to man alone, this time of year reminds me that it is God's hand that has set the harvest on the table. God gave us the soil to put the seed in. He gave us the seed. He provided the rain to water the earth and the sun to cause the seed to wish to push through the earth and make it's way in the direction of that nourishing orb. Harvest is the representation of man's hard work, but it still could not have happened without God provision. We've all seen what a dried up patch of corn looks like. We know if rain doesn't come at a certain time the corn will not be able to survive. We know if too much rain comes the roots rot and the stalks cannot be maintained.

So as I turned from the watermelons to the pumpkins my thoughts went to God's mighty harvest which brought me to a verse. After the flood Noah set about making an altar to worship the Lord on. After his sacrifice God pronounced a promise. It went like this, "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." Gen. 8:22. We have God's promise that as long as the earth exists there will be seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night.

That's a great blessing to think about during this season of our year. While all of the wild and wooly things are going on around us, God is there. He is there keeping the earth, causing seedtime and harvest. Aren't you glad?

Global Threat verses Global Warming

As I see it, we are certainly a country divided.

There are those who seem to want to put their head in the sand about the Global Threats we face and instead want to focus all of their energies into the questionable threat of Global Warming. The left just simply refuses to recognize that there is a Global Threat from very unscrupulous people who are bent on nothing more than destroying America and ALL who stand in it and for it. They can't fathom the danger that every American man, woman, boy & girl face each and every day. The left, with the media adhered to their sides, seem to have an attitude of, "If we ignore them, they will go away." "If we play nicely with them, they will play nicely with us." How unrealistic can they be?

When will they recognize the terrorist movement is not a political machine, it is a religion. A religion that demands a follower do all within it's power to defeat the enemy and guess what? We are the enemy, America! America is the enemy! We are in danger. We are threatened, every single day! They (the terrorist, Muslims to be exact) have declared war on us. We did not declare war on them, first. They did. They determined years before 9-11-01 to be at war with ALL other religions. They have set about bringing their own agenda to pass. They are on the warpath. And here we sit, gripping and complaining about Bush taking us into an "unpopular war". Bush only declared war on them after they destroyed thousands of innocent lives!

Specifically, the Muslim faith. The Muslim faith declares that all who refuse to believe in their religion are to be extinguished. We don't want to hear it. We have been fed this bull hockey line about that being the case ONLY with the extremist Muslim, not your ordinary, run of the mill Muslim, but read their literature. Read the Koran, it says their greatest accomplishment is to kill unbelievers. They can attain to no greater honor.

Yet, here we sit with our heads up the Global Warming Gore butts focused on a threat that may or may not be real and we may or may not have any ability to affect any kind of change in or on the environment. We ignore the real threat to focus on a supposed threat that is not even in the forecast for 100's of years. In 100's of years we may not have to worry about Global Warming, we may be a vapor in the past because we are choosing to ignore the right here, right now threat.

So let's set aside Global Warming for a minute and humor me and let's talk about Global Muslim. The Muslim faith, Islam, seeks to infiltrate the globe. They have determined long ago to skirt open carnage and instead slowly and meticulously position themselves to emerge victorious. The outward "Holy War" is a smokescreen for all of the behind the scenes activities that are making their agenda look more and more appealing. We thought 9-11 was massive yet their agenda makes 9-11 look like child's play.

And, unfortunately, we are playing right into their hands. The left, with their Velcroed media, just refuses to even comprehend the menace that we face and the dangers they represent. They refuse to even acknowledge there is a treat. And I know this because Barack Obama is running for the highest office in our land and the background information provided by him and on him is so questionable it is scary and the left and their media has refused to investigate further than Obama's mouth.

How often have any of us believed what a politician has said? We lost trust in what they say long, long ago. As a society we are forced to instead look at what motivators they have (i.e. the money trail), and what their past has produced (i.e. voting record and non-voting record; associations, etc.). And the reason I can say with certainty that the left and media have refused to see the obvious is because they refuse to even investigate Barack Obama and his ties to the very terrorists that catapult danger into American's lives.

Check out this article about Obama and his connections (i.e. money trail, associations).

This is scary! Much more frightening than any Global Warming seminar can ever hope to produce. Here we have this man one step away from the White House and everything we hold dear in America and yet he is beholden straight to the enemy. What in the world are we thinking?

This youtube video is this man telling about the association between Obama and our enemies.

Percy Sutton Reveals Association Between Khalid al-Mansour and Obama at Age 25

I'd say you heard it from the horses mouth. Now how do we know he doesn't have deep reasons for giving precedence to America's enemy? No matter what he says. We must think for ourselves America. We cannot go around depending on the media to provide the truthful answers we seek. It is our obligation and responsibility!

Disrespectful Associate Press

I just wanted to post this, most recent letter, I sent to the Associate Press. It identifies a specific disrespectful comment by a reporter today and alludes to the many disrespectful comments made over the last 5-7 years by Associated Press reporters. I've tried to explain to them "The unpopular president" is a matter of opinion and should be kept on the opinion page, not in everyday reporting.

I doubt they will listen, but sound the alarm I must.

And hey! The address is below, feel free to lift it and write your own letter!

RE: Disrespectful reporting

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in regards to the continual disrespectfulness of the reporter's in your employ. Over the past 5-7 years I have read and/or heard report after report brought by various Associated Press reporters that show absolutely no respect to the office of president of the United States of America.

Over and over and over again President Bush is referred to as "the unpopular president". This phrase, almost without exception, prefaces his name in every article the Associated Press releases. This may be news to you, but he is NOT unpopular to the whole populous.

Some people really appreciate the protection he has harnessed, the stances he has made in the face of disgruntled media reports, and the fact that he has continuously made policy based on what he feels is best for the United States of America, even if some of the people don't like it. He obviously, is not out for a popularity contest. The thing some appreciate the most is the fact that he has been faithful, faithful to his wife and faithful to the people of the United States of America.
Yet, you the agency who is supposed to bring unbiased reporting to inform the American people of the facts continuously disrespects this man and his administration by throwing in various phrases that are anything but unbiased.

Case in point, "The unpopular president" is a matter of opinion and should be reserved for the opinion pages, NOT mainstream reporting. That is a very biased statement.
This brings me to the report that initiated this contact in the first place.

Bush, Babs to find common ground in Kennedy

The Associated Press
By BRETT ZONGKER Associated Press Writer

Within the body of this story, that circulated all over the internet on September 10, 2008 your reporter, Brett Zongker, referred to the president of the greatest nation on the planet as a "lame-duck host".

"Not all the honorees are hoping their lame-duck host will be preparing to hand the keys to the White House over to a Democrat: Jones said he usually leans toward supporting Democrats, but is backing McCain this year because of his experience."

That is simply again a matter of opinion, but more important than that, is the absolute disdain and disrespectfulness shown to the president. Like it or not, he IS the president and deserves respect. If you cannot find it within yourself to respect him then you at least should respect America enough not to condone such awful remarks of our Commander In Chief. It is a terrible precedence portrayed to the rest of the world, who is just waiting, looking for every opportunity to attack American and destroy everything we hold dear.

The general press of the 21st century almost acts as if the global threat from those who wish to destroy the America that we know doesn't exist. I would like to know, "What are you thinking?" How can the press continually push to present stories that do less to inform and more to destroy the America you claim to love? The world doesn't have to know what the military officials know about our enemies. The world shouldn't know. This gives the enemy a tremendous advantage and I say, "Shame on you, for putting me, and my family, at risk for your own gain." It's wrong and if terrorists again tromp on our shores, you will hold in your greedy little hand a large portion of the responsibility for the carnage. I hope you are prepared to deal with that. I actually hope you will stop and think about; not what is best for you, but instead; what is best for this country you claim to represent.

I would expect a response to how you are going to handle yourselves in the future. I may be reached at the above address and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Camille Rodgers

Where are the questions????????????

If there was ever any doubt in anyone's mind about media bias, boy oh boy, they have shown their true colors this week in regards to Sarah Palin as choice for the Republican Vice Presidential nominee. The actual reigning president can get caught having an affair, with activity in the Oval Office, and they try their hardest to downplay it. Get impeached for heaven's sake and they ignore it as if it never happened. The Democratic nominee can attend a hate spewing church for 20 years and they suppress the story for months and months. His patriotism can be very questionable and it is swept under the rug. The same nominee can get an illegal, sweetheart housing deal and the media acts like it is perfectly fine for him to have acquired his house in that manner. He can go to other countries and talk about how bad his country is. The American people really aren't all that concerned they contend. But when the Republican Vice Presidential nominee's daughter is found to be pregnant, out of wedlock, it becomes headline news for days and days.

Where are all of these woman's rights groups who, at every other time in recent history, would be saying this doesn't matter? The girl had the right to have pre-marital sex, she has the right to discover her body and the young man as well. It's just a natural part of growing up. Isn't that all of the rhetoric we keep hearing about sexual activity in young people? Why doesn't it apply to Republican young people? Somehow Republican young people (or the children of them) are immune from the images they see splashed all over the TV encouraging every kind of immoral behaviour imaginable? Does the media actually think our children have some kind of wall around them?

I heard this week the media talking about John McCain voting against contraceptive education. As if to say, if there had been contraceptive education in the Alaskan schools this wouldn't have happened to this young girl. No one has yet to even wonder, "How many pregnancies have been avoided through the abstinence education?" No one cares how many children, young people, have made the decision, based on the truthful information presented to them, to refrain from all intercourse so they can be pure for their spouse. The media is convinced that doesn't happen, ever, in this society. No, they have just taken this young girl and made her the poster child for abstinence education, disregarding the fact that in every school in America, where contraceptive education is taught or not, there are pregnant, unwed young ladies that didn't heed that education either. But has the media reported on that? Have they tried to find statics in favor or against contraceptive and abstinence education? No, they are just sitting on their butts refusing to do their job as journalist.

I find the term contraceptive education a bizarre term because no high school program in America teaches exactly about contraceptive education. They don't teach what contraceptives actually do, or how they actually work. They don't teach that many contraceptives don't actually prevent conception. The moral issue for many religious segments is if a fetus is conceived then it has the right to life. Yet, so many contraceptive methods do not prevent conception. They only prevent the ability of the fetus to attach to the uterine wall. Conception can take place and the fetus survive several days while traveling down the fallopian tubes and once it enters the uterus it would normally attach to the uterine wall and the fetus would then gain nourishment and grow and develop. However, the hormonal contraceptives cause the uterine wall to become an unwelcoming environment for the fetus. The fetus can't find a place to attach so it is prevented from getting the nourishment to allow the fetus to grow. The pill, folks. The pill does this.

The most disturbing reaction from the media is they act like it's a death sentence. They act like the girl has committed the unpardonable sin and will never ever live again. This is where I wonder where the woman's rights groups are? Where are they to stand up for this young woman and say, "Hey, everyone has a right to make her own choice?" I guess they are all sitting around wondering why she didn't have that abortion they have worked so hard for her to have the right to have? It's not really an issue of Pro-Choice, it really is simply Pro-Abortion. An unplanned pregnancy is, after all, exactly why they think an abortion is okay. That's their contention--Don't want it? Get rid of it? It doesn't matter that this new life will be welcomed into this world in a few months, the girl will make arrangements to finish high school (if she hasn't already) and will be watching an eternal soul grow and do all those fantastic things babies do in that first year and all of the years beyond.

I feel really bad for this young lady. She is the one suffering the most by this. Other than the effect on this poor young lady, the media's reaction is almost comical. I keep thinking, "When are they going to do their actual job?" When are they going to get off their butts and go find out exactly who Sarah Palin is? The media has successfully communicated that she has a daughter who is pregnant, so what else? The American people want to know who Sarah Palin is, what has she done, when did she do it, where has she been, and how, how has she accomplished all of these things?

The media is going to be quite surprised if the Republican ticket gets in the White House and they have had all of this time to research this woman and they didn't. They are going to be wondering who she is and why she makes decisions like she does and it will be because instead of doing their job they sat around and talked about a non-issue for weeks on end.

What the Dems Want, Really?

Okay, I'm going to try and cover some ground today in regards to the recent announcement by the Democrat National Committee (DNC) on it's party platform in the upcoming election.

For those of you who are Democrat and want your party running the White House and the Congress this article's for you!

First, you need to be asking yourself, is this REALLY what I want? Really?

Secondly, will this REALLY be what is best for America?

Thirdly, where in the world have we gone wrong?

The DNC announced this week its platform for the upcoming Democratic National Convention and what it hopes to lead America to get accomplished through this election.

This platform deals with:

Guaranteed Health Care,
Pension Subsidies,
Energy rebates,
Tax breaks for some (vague group),
Higher taxes for those making over $250,000,
Stricter rules on "predatory" lenders,
Closure of the Guantanamo Bay facility,
"Tough, practical and humane immigration reform in the first year of the next administration,"
NAFTA,
Doubling of the Peace Corp,
Restoration of the ban on assault-type weapons and additional "reasonable regulation" on arms
Safe, legal abortions for everyone,
Prenatal care for the needy,
Favors helping religious groups provide social services as long as "public funds are not used to proselytize or discriminate".

I'm sure this is not an exhaustive list, but enough to make you consider what are we thinking? (I've got a call in to the DNC Committee to get a full copy of the report but have to call back in a few days.) In the meantime, muse about the following:

First, Guaranteed Health Care
I believe we ALL want a healthy society. But where is the debate about BIG government, verses government by-the-people? Guaranteed Health Care is a great big phrase for more money out of your pockets and more money in the coffers of Washington politicians. We know what will happen if they get their hands on that money. Look at Medicaid today. If you are on Medicaid you have to search high and low to find a doctor that will accept it. Why? Medicaid takes 3 times longer to actually pay the bill than any other insurance company. How would you like to render services and not get paid for 3-9 months, sometimes a year? Will the grocery store accept your story about you'll pay when you get paid? Of course not. Our society can't run like that, yet here is the Democrat party stating they want ALL doctors, nurses, clinics, etc. to operate that way for ALL of the populous under their "guaranteed" plan. Not only do doctors that accept Medicaid have to wait extra long for their money, when they get it, it is at a GREATLY reduced rate than the insurance companies or self-insured pay. You have a $100 office visit. Insurance pays $80 (insured pays $20), Self-insured might be able to work out a pay-today plan where they can pay-in-full the day of service for $75 instead of the $100. Medicaid wants the services paid at $35 and the doctor is to eat the rest. This is what Washington has already dished up for us. We cannot expect anything different and it would be foolish for us to hope beyond what is before us.

Now let's cover the next several agenda items together:

Pension Subsidies,
Energy rebates,
Tax breaks for some (vague group),
Higher taxes for those making over $250,000

Pension subsidies, energy rebates, vague group getting tax breaks (that's political speak, isn't it?), higher taxes for those making over $250,000. The Dem plan is to pay for all of its new "funding" by placing higher taxes on those making over $250,000 a year. Health care, pension subsidies, energy rebates, vague tax break group. All of those are supposed to be supported by this one little "raise taxes" on those making over $250,000. How many people do they think make over $250,000? How do they think they make over $250,000? I have always seen raising taxes on the wealthy as a ghost-rider plan. Those who make over $250,000 are expert on how to charge ALL increases right back to the lesser paid workers. It's happened over and over again. That's what Reaganomics was about. It's called the trickle-down effect. You raise their taxes, the affect trickles-down. Now please understand, I believe everyone should pay their fair share. But to penalize a person for success is stupid! If you penalize a person for success, it stands to reason that you have also just rewarded a person for failure. Where is the motivation in that? The person who is rewarded for failure is not motivated to do better, and the person who is penalized for success is not motivated to be more successful.

Then there's the strict rules on "predatory" lenders
Can someone tell me who exactly is a "predatory" lender? This is about the most political thing this document covers. This is nothing more than words filling paper to tickle the ears of voters. Aren't there already rules about lending to people who can't pay back? This is just rhetoric.

Closure of Guantanamo Bay facility
Doesn't this come with the end of the war in Iraq? I feel so sorry for the military. They can't protect the country they have vowed to protect because said country has tied their hands behind their backs and refused to support them in the most basic forms. Do the Dems really want those who belong in the Guantanamo Bay facility to be out wondering around the world seeking whom they may devour? You and me.

"Tough, practical and humane immigration reform in the first year of the next administration"
Can we all say, "amnesty?" Do you, who are Democrats, really want those from other countries (specifically Mexico, but not exclusively) to be able to freely come here, work, play and make hay, then send the wealth into foreign coffers? Can you see the expense it is having on the American workforce? Right now we are having record unemployment rates, companies are laying off workforces right and left. True blue American's can't find work, even lesser paying work, because we have allowed 10-20 million (no one really knows an accurate figure, they're hiding out, remember) illegal aliens to work in our stead. Now they have the money and we are left with nothing. A couple of years ago we took a vacation to visit our nation's capitol. Here we were enjoying the sights and sounds of Washington, D.C., remembering all of the sacrifices that were made for us to be such an amazing nation and we walk to the steps of the Capitol building only to find demonstrators. Not American demonstrators, no. People who snuck across our borders, hid out in the desert, lied about who they were and forged papers to steal jobs out from under our feet and then there they were protesting on the steps of our nation's capitol for their right to be here. Right in front of everyone! What an atrocity! They have no legal right to press their big toe on the soil of this country and the dems (and probably unfortunately the RNC, too) want to allow them to freely continue since they are here anyway. It's awful. They have no right. We have legal, legitimate ways to immigrate. If we expect them to be law abiding citizens, we should expect them to start with obeying the laws, not hope they will obey once they've broken the laws to get here.

NAFTA
I'm not sure what to think about NAFTA. The vast majority of what I've heard I don't like. It seems here again we have simply sold out our national sovereignty for money. The quote is, "We will work with Canada and Mexico to amend the North American Free Trade Agreement so that it works better for all three North American countries." Why are we working to make anything better for Canada or Mexico? Why aren't we focused on making things better for America, we have enough to do here. The document is vague and promises nothing in regards to NAFTA. As I recall, President Clinton is the author of NAFTA and as a fellow Democrat, you would just have to assume Obama would continue the rhetoric. He has said nothing to indicate otherwise.

Doubling of the Peace Corp
At who's expense? Here again, we have quite a large pile of garbage to be handled here. We certainly don't need to add additional pie-in-the-sky programs to be funded on the backs of hardworking Americans.

Restoration of the ban on assault-type weapons and additional "reasonable regulation" on arms
Okay, the recent ruling by the Supreme Court is worthless? Why do we have a Supreme Court? Why are we not listening to the people? How are we justifying ignoring the 2nd Amendment? The Dems seem to have this mindset that they can pick and choose which parts of the Constitution to agree with and which one's to bypass. Do we really want to move further away from what the founding father's set in place? Is this really the Dem agenda? As American's we have the right to keep and bear arms. Not just certain arms, all arms. We have that right because the founding father's knew we would need it. And we do need it. The right to bear arms empowers the people to fight for this country in every way. We have to ask ourselves, Why? Why wouldn't the government want the people to be able to fight for themselves? They don't because if we can fight for ourselves then we can fight against them. They are dead set against having to be accountable to anyone. I'm not saying we need to go on a shooting rampage in Washington. I'm saying empowering people is what democracy is about. Not tying their hands and denying them the ability to govern themselves.

Safe, legal abortions for everyone

You know, this is the biggest blight on the society in which we live today. We have decided murder is a viable choice. Now the DNC has made it part of their platform to insure every American woman has the right to murder, unequivocal. The DNC wants to legalize lawbreakers and murderers! First, no abortion is 100% safe, now is it? How in the world do the Dems intend to meet this point on their own platform? And second, legal, doesn't make something right. They are demanding the American people pay for women to commit murder. As an American citizen, I am not interested in paying for women to murder their babies. How dare the government of this country demand such a thing from me? Or you?

Prenatal care for the needy
Isn't this a bit redundant? If we have government run health care for ALL wouldn't this include prenatal care? Or is this targeted specifically to those who have snuck across the borders and forged paperwork to allow themselves to reap the benefits that aren't theirs? Now the Dems want to not only make it legal for them to be there but also want to force those of us here legally to pay for them to have healthy babies. I'm all for every baby being a healthy baby (including those who are so rudely murdered). However, I'm not for funding prenatal care for the world or, everyone who can step foot on American soil. We just DO NOT have those kind of resources. We need to understand that. Are you ready to foot the bill?

Favors helping religious groups provide social services as long as "public funds are not used to proselytize or discriminate"
This is a real kicker. The DNC is in favor of using religious groups, and all of their resources, as long as they abandon the cause for which they were established. Where is the "Freedom of Religion" in this agenda? Religious groups are usually all about helping others, showing love and compassion. Why do you think that is? Religious groups want to show the love of the god they serve. They want those receiving the assistance to know it is done out of a love that is to be shared. So the DNC wants to use church fellowship halls, sanctuaries, parking lots, funds, etc. to help the needy but they want to take away Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion to do this. Where's the motivation for the religious organizations? Does the DNC really think the religious groups want the government's conditional money? Faith based initiatives work because they are "Faith based"!

Back-To-School

Well, here you go. You find me up on my high horse again!

I read a couple of very interesting things today and thought, "How appropriate these are running all on the same day. I wonder if people will listen."

I read an article that some community leaders were encouraging a segment of school-age children to refuse to come to school on the first day in protest that their school had very low funding while the school in another area of the city had much higher funding. The article went on to say they were encouraging students to go to the higher funded school and apply for entrance.

In a separate, totally unrelated article I was watching John McCain being interviewed by Larry King. John McCain explained how he wanted to implement school choice for every child. He was explaining how more well-educated children will bring greater resources to the United States of America.

Now isn't that interesting?

Maybe those in Chicago's poor section and those in Chicago's better off section should pull their noses off the Obama train and consider the possibilities.

I was amazed that the article identified a real number of dollars spent per child per school year. The wealthier portions of Chicago get $17,000 per student, per school year. While the poorer section gets only $10,000. Aren't those numbers staggering? I've kept up with what school districts receive per student, per year for several years now. When my children were attending a private school in Florida that cost $3500.00 a year, their counterparts in the public school system where receiving $10,500. That is, the public school system was receiving $10,500.00 per student, per year.

It always floored me that it took $3500.00 a year for my children to receive a VERY far superior education than if they were attending a public school system that was receiving $10,500.00 and screaming for more. The "we need more money" public school mantra just hasn't washed in a long time.

I was thinking about the public school system and all of it's woes because my friend called me yesterday and was simply distraught about the experience she had at her child's first day of kindergarten.

She had built up this "big deal day" to her child about how great the first day would be. How she would have a tremendous time and everything would be great. So, she gets to the school, fills out the information, signs her up and finds out what class she will go to that day for "Orientation Day". So she begins to take her child to class and is promptly told the child needs to be able to identify her surroundings by herself and she is not welcome to walk her child to class. She was petrified!

I don't know how many times I've heard public school administers and teachers, too go on and on about how they wish parents got involved. They love to spew the "it's the parents fault children don't learn" vomit all over the media, every chance they get. Well, I can tell you. I was an involved parent. For 17 years straight I've been dealing with public school policies and procedures and more importantly rhetoric. I've watched the degeneration of an institution that was designed to develop a healthy well-educated society into an sheep to slaughter type institution.

I've had numerous people say things like ... "we'll, my children attended public school and they turned out just fine." Or, "they've got to learn how to function in society, public school is just fine." Or, my favorite for making no sense at all, "I know lots of school teachers and they are fabulous people."

You know what? I attended public school, too. What people who use this excuse need to know is that the public school I attended is NOT the same public school that is available today! It simply is not. I know, I've had my children in public school off and on for 17 years. The public school that is shoved down everyone's throat today is NOT the same public school I walked my little kindergartener into 17 years ago, either.

Those who give me the excuse, "they've got to learn how to function in society, public school is just fine." I have to say to them, "Do you know what indoctrination means?" Public school is being used by the driving forces that want to take ALL parental control and place it squarely on the shoulders of the educational force. They want to be able to tell your child that what Mommy & Daddy say isn't right. And you are fooling yourself, if you don't think that actually happens. It does, I promise you! It doesn't matter if you live in the Bible belt or evil California or wicked NYC. Schools all across this country are undermining the parent's authority by their very nature.

Think about what happened recently here in North Carolina. There has been an influx of people to the Raleigh area so Wake County decided to make all of their schools year-round-middle school and down. The outcry of the parents was tremendous. So to appease them they let parents choose other schools if there was room. However, the parent had to provide transportation. That was last year. This year, they just decided parents no longer have a choice. They can't choose where their children go to school or when. They must abide by what the public school deems, no exceptions.

Then there's the "I know lots of school teachers and they are fabulous people" terribly misguided excuse. I know lots of school teachers, too. Over the last 17 years my children have gotten a very wide variety of teachers with a very wide variety of reasons for being school teachers. Every year I've prayed my children would receive good christian teachers. For the most part, I've been very pleased with most of their teachers. There have been exceptions. I think about the year my second child got a reading teacher that, for whatever reason, was a very hateful person. At the end of the 9 weeks I received a 2-inch thick folder of papers. Every single paper had a negative comment written on it. In all of nine weeks my child had not done one single good paper. There's something wrong with that folks. He was a great reader and did well on test. Had a great score even in her class, yet everyday she was sending notes about what an awful student he was. It was awful.

But even the occasional bad teacher is not the point. The point is that public school teachers are controlled by the administration. Their daily activities are dictated by school officials that never set foot in a classroom. They do not have one minute to freely plan what would be best for their class, let alone what might be best for any one of their individual students. It's all set in motion in some board room where the deciders haven't looked into the face of a child in who knows how long? Public school teachers, for the most part, are very nice and kind people. But someone tell me what in the world that has to do with why I should entrust my offspring to the care of someone who is totally controlled by someone else?

Unfortunately, these deciders are being dictated to by a larger, more powerful set of individuals as well. Their agenda is even more sinister. They want total control of the next population. Why do you think they are so against homeschooling and ALL forms of school choice? Why do you think Obama was booed at the National Education Association endorsement rally? He was booed when he suggested that more Charter schools should be created. The NEA doesn't want anything interrupting their, "indoctrinate the populous" agenda. Actual thinking Americans threaten their agenda to push the policies they want taught and enforced. How do you think the homosexual agenda has made so much headway, so quickly?
I'll have more on this subject, but for now I have to depart.

Continued (hopefully) tomorrow...

And to pick up where I left off. I've decided to add this to the bottom of the original thought so you don't run a chance the last part first.

Okay, it's late so this may not make it to the blog until tomorrow but I am going to try and pick up on my train of thought from 7-29-08.

Public School and What in the World is Wrong?

...During my experiences with the public schools, one very important point became starkly clear--the Public School is most interested in the welfare of the Public School. It has absolutely nothing to do with what is best for my child, or for the most part, children in general. If they did, they would be trying to implement very different agendas.

Let's look a bit further. For over a generation (if not longer) private schools have produced much more well-education children that the public schools. The children have better test scores. They have less problems transitioning to college courses. Their discipline level is much lower and much more efficient when it is needed. Better educated children grow into better educated adults. Better educated adults have the brain function and power to make better decisions about what is best for them and their surroundings. Across the board, private school has trumped public schools every time.

Once this fact was brought to the education powers' attention and parents started demanding answers as to why; the education powers' started looking for scape goats. Their first line of defense was, "money". We don't have enough money. We need more money. The district down the street gets more money, we need it, too!

So what did the public demand of lawmakers? They demanded their schools get more money, too. So once the money issue grew and grew and they could no longer continue to use that as an excuse, they had to turn in a different direction. Now they get at least twice as much as most private schools and the results or pitiful. Remember, my children were receiving a much better education at $3500 a year verses $10,500. The money issue just doesn't wash!

So, the next thing we started hearing was, It's the uniforms." Traditionally, private schools require children to wear uniforms, so the public school decided the reason tests scores were so much higher in private schools must be being driven by apparel. Who knew the fashion industry had such power?

It couldn't possibly be anything else. They continually spent trillions and trillions of dollars for the "latest" and "greatest" curriculum. They reinvented the wheel every single year. It just couldn't be something they were or weren't doing; they are professionals, after all. So it must be apparel.

Correct fashion causes a child to learn better, quicker, increase retention and all that jazz. Seriously, folks you may laugh, but that is exactly what we were told. "You parents must buy our brand and send your child to school in our 'approved clothes' because otherwise they can't learn properly." You think I'm kidding, but I am not.

When they implemented school uniforms when my oldest children were in school I got called more than once that my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th grader wasn't capable of learning that day because he wasn't wearing a belt. The lack of a belt was enough to disrupt the classroom and cause my child to miss out on instruction so he could go to the office and call home for me to bring him a belt.

Otherwise, you know his retention would be greatly reduced, low test scores, so on and so forth. What a fashion fauxpas!! And, guess what happened if I wasn't home? My child was issued a piece of jute to wear through his belt loops so he could return to class. Now how about that jute? Did you ever think it had the power to help your child learn quicker, retain information much more effectively, produce higher test scores, etc? Who knew?

No one knew, that's who! What a joke!

At the time my husband was selling cars. As most of you know, car sales persons are required to look very well groomed. My husband arrived home one evening and explained he had forgotten his belt. He had sold 2 cars that day. While I had been called to the school because one of the children wasn't capable of learning that day without his belt. They both forgot their belt and while one succeeded at his duties another one was told he couldn't possibly have an effective day without some leather strapped around his middle. That's ridiculous! It's absolutely ludicrous!

But that's the crap we were being fed about why public schools were so poorly performing. And, still today they don't have a clue!

All of those great public schools that guaranteed test scores would improve without fashion fauxpas don't have a leg to stand on today. They are in the same boat they were before demanding fashion consciousness. Now, their off to some other excuse. "It's lack of parental participation." What they have forgotten is that they themselves have run the parents off, parents who tried to make a difference. Parents who continually chanted for the individual child have been sent away. After all, the schools are the professionals; parents are just nobodies, unless they are bringing cookies for everyone. And what doesn't wash with this excuse is they use to have parental participation. Test scores were low then, with all the homeroom moms you could stuff in a schoolbus!

To borrow a little soundbite from the first Clinton campaign; somewhat modified. It's the kids, stupid! You quit making kids your focus. The schools simply are concerned with making themselves look good, while jumping through the hoops set in place by those who haven't seen a child in so long they aren't sure what a child really is. A child, and their individual capacities and needs, isn't even on the radar screen. No one is putting the needs of the child, the individual child, above their own.

The reason for this has already been stated. They don't want individual children. They don't want well-educated children. They want children who will blindly follow exactly what they say, nothing more, and nothing less. They cannot think for themselves or they would blow the whistle on what's wrong with the system. If you think I'm a little off here I suggest you go and investigate the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Powers-that-be are trying desperately to severe the relationship of the parent and child in this country, to the point that this law can be ratified without incident. At present, they know parents would have a fit. So little by little the educational system has been hired to promote the deterioration of the parent/child relationship. I wouldn't have believed this several years ago but I'm totally convinced at this present time.

After having watched this phenomenon for 17 years, having been in the thick of it, having my tail chewed more times than I care to remember; and after turning around and chewing some tails myself to try to affect change I know it will take a bigger power than me to affect change. That is why I homeschool my children. I can make sure that the individual needs of my children are taken into consideration and made paramount.

The worst part is now I'm finding you have to be careful and on top of things even in church settings. Even at church, the powers-that-be are concerned about themselves (pride of life), not the individual child. We have put so much pressure to make certain segments perform; they are forced to forget what's best for the child and instead implement policies that are best for the church or their individual group. Our ministers are sent to secularly educated conference speakers who have bought into the government run agenda. The UN arm has infiltrated every area of modern day life, including the churches. Unless ministers refuse to be swayed by secular mindsets children will continually be put at more and more risk for the indoctrination. Children, God's greatest, most important commodity, are being forced over and over again to question whether their parents are really capable of knowing what's best for them. They are continually being encouraged to question what their parents say and do.

We live in sad times. It's saddens me greatly to realize how much of my life I have spent defending the individual needs of my children. Children should be our greatest focus and instead our focus is strewn in ten million different ways. Every way but the way of ultimate importance.

We can kill our children before they arrive and call it choice.
Once they are here, we are given no choice at the schoolhouse door (and the church house door, in some cases).

Obama's Patriotism Proof

Okay, I'm on my Obama box again.

The other day someone sent me a picture of Barrack Obama, Bill Richardson, Hilary Clinton and another lady standing on a stage. There is an American flag behind them and they are all standing. Three of those pictured are standing with their hand over their heart and one is not. Can you guess which one is not?

No matter how many times Obama claims he is very patriotic. No matter how many times he claims smear campaigns are going on and that's the only reason this is an issue. No matter how many times he changes and now suddenly wears a lapel flag; now suddenly puts his hand over his heart; now suddenly denounces a man who's teaching he sat under for over 20 years, on and on. No matter what he says, actions speak louder than all the back tracking one can do when called on the carpet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8QCkgg5Kjo

Why is this man not standing with his hand over his heart? Let me ask you. When you hear the National Anthem played, do you automatically, without thinking, instinctively stand up and place your hand over your heart? I do. I programmed one of our handheld cordless phones to play the National Anthem. My son said, "Mom, you need to make that stop. Every time the phone rings I feel like I've got to stand up and put my hand over my heart."

See truthorfiction page about this very picture:
http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/o/obama-salute.htm

If it were just the hand over the heart issue, if it were just the no lapel flag pin issue, if it were just one of these things that would be one thing. However, all grouped together, all the actions of one man. One man who has the audacity to ask you and me to put him into the highest office in the land and yet he doesn't think it important to show his patriotism. It is beyond me how anyone can think him the candidate of their choice. What are they thinking?

I know there are a lot of people who are simply fatigued with the current administration and think the best thing is get the other party in the White House to see what else can happen. But really, this guy is bad news all the way around. He can't be trusted to do what is right for the American people, and we aren't convinced he doesn't have ideas of turning what is left of American soil right over into the waiting arms of our arch enemies!

We need a true blue American in that highest office. We are being attacked on a multitude of fronts and having someone in office who's patriotism has come into question over and over and over again is just way too risky! Please fellow Americans, look beyond what the media wants you to hear and look beyond (read between the lines) what they say and what they actually do. The candidates, that is. I'm not head over heals for John McCain but his track record is MUCH more American that Barrack Obama's, there's no question.

Stay tuned the next couple of days for my next article about who's really responsible for the outlandish gas prices. And look to the next blog to find my suggestion on regulating demand so the world market will have to take notice!

15th Day Off Program

What An Outrage!

I am writing to voice my gravest concern about a news story WRAL, our local news reporting channel, covered yesterday, June 30, 2008. The main utility company here in North Carolina was approved to extract an additional 15% rate increase from their users, effective the next day. Today as I wake up and begin my day the electricity that I use will cost me 15% more than it did yesterday. No 30 day notice through the billing cycle. No, put it before a committee. No nothing. Just here you go.

I can't afford to put gas in my car. I can't afford the new prices for food. I can't afford the new prices for clothing. And now, I can't afford to turn on lights in my own home. All of this is a direct affect of the fuel prices going from $75.00 a barrel to $145.00 a barrel. I watched some big wig on TV the other day talk about it being a result of supply and demand. I find it hard to believe that somehow demand has skyrocketed over the past 6 months to bring us to this point. However, there have been several natural disasters that may have caused those countries to need to dip into the "world's" market and so maybe that has been the driving force. Even that seems suspect to my way of seeing it, but maybe it is.

So I propose a fix to this supply problem. The American people are powerless to ask, beg, plead that somebody have mercy and keep the prices low and increase production. Remember, President Bush already went to them and asked nicely. However, the American people ARE capable of affecting demand. Just simply quit using so much. We can get their attention with just a small sacrifice on our part that will hit them where it is going to matter, and it comes in the form of a day off. Would you like to take a day off?

That's right, just take a day off. I propose everyone take 1 day each quarter and don't go to work. Just don't go. Don't put your car on the road. Don't go to the store. Don't try to catch up on all of your errands. Don't go to the cleaners, out to eat, shopping in anyway, etc. Stay home and play board games with your children. Now, if it is hot, use your air conditioner (if you can afford to do so). Use the electricity to run your refrigerator, various appliances, etc. Just don't spend one red cent to drive down the road. And, to make it most affective use as little electricity as possible. Maybe use an oil lamp that day. Or, once it gets dark, go to bed. Don't use your computers, don't charge your cell phone, laptop, MP3, etc. Unplug everything that is not an absolute necessity. If you can live without your phone for that day, unplug it if it takes electricity. Or get one of those cheapo, corded phones that only plugs into the phone line and use it instead.

I propose we ALL do this on the same day. It will have the greatest impact if the world sees that Americans have joined forces and refuse to be played the fool any longer. I propose we choose July 15th, October 15th, January 15th and May 15th. This way the world can watch the impact. Yes, your bosses are going to gripe and complain. Better them than you. They may threaten to fire you. Tell them if you don't do this they won't have to fire you, you won't be able to afford to continue to come to work at the rate things are going. If no one is at the store to run it and no customers are there they will even have an affect as they will likely close the doors and turn off what electricity they can. For all of you in government jobs, it is most important for you to participate! Let them know you are an American citizen first and it is important to EVERY American citizen to be able to afford to live. And if you can't participate on the 15th (emergency medical people) then choose one day every quarter.

At one time in our country electricity was a luxury, it is now a necessity and how dare oil companies and foreign interest try to force us to view it as a luxury again. When I read the announcement that our utility company had been granted a 15% rate increase, effective the very next day, I thought about all of the people who will simply die because of this ruling. The elderly die every year because they can't afford to run the air conditioner in their home. They die from malnutrition because they pay their electric bill instead of buying groceries. They die not because they can't afford the luxury, they die because they can't afford the life sustaining necessities.

If you need a good reason to put your job in jeopardy by participating in the 15th Day Off Program, think about the elderly. Think about what a 15% increase in their bill will mean. When you hear on the news another of your neighbors has died because they couldn't afford to keep an air conditioner running, remember you are taking a stand and refusing to allow others to fall prey to high oil prices. And of course, if you can slip your neighbor $10, $20 or $50 a month for their added expenses, please do so. It could save their life, truly.

We can make a difference here. Demand is governed by those that use it. We are only powerless through inaction. (Griping and complaining is NOT action, by the way). We have to be willing to leave our comfort zones and step out and refuse to be bullied and demand the necessities be affordable. The brave men and women in the last generation had to leave their comfort zones, too. They had to watch their men leave for war and those who were left had to leave their homes and fields and enter the factories to keep the country going. They had to make sacrifices. Can you imagine only being allowed to buy a tire if you had a coupon for it? Can you imagine only being allowed to buy gas (at any cost) if you have a coupon for it?

We can keep dropping $100.00 at the gas pumps or we can send an affective message that we are not to be toyed with. July 15th, 2008 is coming quickly. So if we are going to make a difference we will have to get it together quickly. I am only one person, however I know several people and they know several people and those several people know several people. This is vitally important. And, even after July 15th, keep sending this as October 15th will be coming and then January 15th. Maybe next summer you will be able to go on a great vacation without so great a concern about gas prices. Maybe your neighbor will live and be able to turn on her TV. We can make a difference! We have to!

Wow! Look What hating America/Whites will get you

The following is a link to a story written by Ronald Kessler. It gives great insight into what Rev. Wright has experienced in the past and looks forward to experiencing in the future. (Imagine the agony!)

Close Eye on Movies

Hello Everyone,

I'm writing about a recent purchase the kids made. Jeremiah and Beulah have had a birthday recently and they combined their money and bought a new movie. The "Bee Movie". I wasn't sure what the movie was about but went ahead and let them buy it. It's a cute movie about how hard bees work. But I am increasingly frustrated with the treatment good ol' human beings are receiving from Hollywood these days.

The Bee Movie tells about a bee "coming of age," so to speak. He graduates with pomp and circumstance and then has to choose a career. It is only then he finds out his career is for life, no going back, no changing your mind. He chooses instead to explore the outside world and in so doing has an up-close encounter with humans. Of course, one human is nice and ALL the others are mean. He discovers humans eat honey and is appalled that bees have to work so hard for humans to have something to eat.

He sues the human race for all of the honey. The anti-human aspect of this movie is certainly felt at this point and gets even worse when the lawyer representing the humans has the distinctive ring of a TV evangelist. As you would expect from 21st century Hollywood this character becomes a babbling idiot for all youngsters to make sure NOT to idolize.

Anyway, the bee wins the case and ALL honey production is stopped. The bees become sloppy and the greenery dies. The only human friend to the bee is a florist and she points out the death of the flowers and how it is affecting the humans. Because the bee likes the florist he decides to rally the bee troops and re-pollinate the planet so there will be flowers again. So the bee saves the planet after effectively destroying the original God design. Of course, Hollywood fails to point out that last bit of information for the impressionable youngsters.

It made me think of another movie I had gotten for the kids a couple of years ago, "Happy Feet". The kids watched that movie one time and I refused to allow them to watch it again. It was SO anti-human. The actors actually came out and called humans, "Aliens." The humans were catching fish and because it was making it more difficult for the penguins to get food they considered them, "Aliens".

I know the big "Global Warming" push and all that hullabaloo. I know the way some have decided to become so very concerned about the "footprint" we leave on this planet. I find it all so very "Anti-God". God designed this planet. He set it in motion. He devised the inner and outer workings and he specifically charged man to "have dominion ... over all the earth" (Gen. 1:26).

I've begun to wonder what in the world would the "global warming" alarmist have done or tried to do when Joshua prayed and asked God to hold off nightfall until the battle was won. A whole day. (Read about it in Joshua 10). My, wouldn't that have sent their charts and predictions in a tizzy? Joshua would have been sent to jail at the very least. Actually, I have a tendency to believe the "global warming" alarmist may have problems with their charts and predictions because of Joshua's answer from God. Maybe the flood screws up the whole mess, too. I don't know because I choose to depend on God and rest in knowing He set it in motion and has already told us He will destroy it and make it again.

Now, before you start sending me nasty little emails, please know: I also believe we ARE to be good stewards of what He has given us. I do not think we should litter, over use, etc. the resources we have. I believe we certainly need to find alternative fuel sources and set about recycling as much as possible. But I don't think the Titmouse needs land more than the humans who can put it to good use. I believe the fish were created by God's hand to feed us. And we can certainly share with the penguins. I believe God developed the bee species to be very hard workers and produce honey for humans (and bears).

There is a little known push going on under the surface to start making the kids think about the "footprint" they are leaving on the planet. It is being specifically targeted at having babies. Every baby means a "footprint" and the "footprint" is the thing that is messing up the ozone layer and creating all of the havoc on the planet. The environmentalist who are really pushing this have pointed to China as the example of limiting the negative effects each "footprint" places on the planet. Now, you all know, I have an opinion about this!

Here again, it is such an anti-God approach to the environment. I can give testimony that God Himself spoke to both Mike and myself about letting Him be in charge of how many children we have. It was a very long discussion, pretty ongoing and intense, especially around child 4 and 5. I had some nice long talks with God about what in the world He was doing. He pointed out that the "footprint" each child represented meant a possible eternity with Him. An eternity, non-the-less, one place or another. That there are only a few things that are eternal and "footprints" are one of them. The other thing I learned over and over is that we do not procreate without God's hand giving viability to each and every conception. No matter how hard we try we cannot create another human being, only God does the creating (Psalm 100). Each blessed creation of God is by His hand and is His responsibility. If He didn't want the earth to be able to sustain life then he would cause it to be so no matter if we had a full ozone layer and if we never drove a car in our life. And in the same vein, if He wants life to continue then He will cause this planet to be able to sustain that life.

Hollywood is being used not so much as an entertainment venue any longer as a political venue to promote the "global warming" agenda. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles beware. That child's movie that seems so harmless, may in fact, be used to indoctrinate the next generation to enormous anti-God philosophies. It's cute and so subtle, so innocent. Yet, let's remember how Satan deceived Eve. His ways haven't really changed much.

So, feed Hollywood if you must, but PLEASE sit with your children, talk openly about what the Bible says about what the kids are watching. Keep your antennas alert to anti-human fare. I suspect it will only get worse. We have to make sure our children do not fall for the indoctrination that they are responsible for keeping the planet "healthy, wealthy and wise" we ARE NOT God and we do NOT have the capabilities to do God's work. Maybe, Hollywood will wise up but I think it will take God's hand to bring that around as well.
